All your rental money the first year and half your rental money every year after goes toward the purchase of a step up instrument, for a maximum of 65% off the instrument price.

If you rented a violin for $135 a year, for example, your rental credit would work this way:

Most violin renters choose to purchase by the third year. The purchase time for viola players is more variable because they often take longer to reach a full size (16").

How much do step-up instruments cost?
Prices differ depending on the craft and expertise put into the instrument, but our step-up violins begin at about $500 and violas begin at about $650. Call to inquire about cello prices.
